I love this place. Have from the first day I walked in. It's clever; with ever changing displays by local artists, it's artsy without the fartsy. It's laid back without the inefficiencies that plague our 'Hakuna Matata' way of life. You feel as much at home lounging on plush sofas by the fireplace as you do having a working lunch in the garden. Whether you want a quiet place to sit outdoors and read on a sunny afternoon, share a romantic dinner or just have a few drinks at the bar with friends, then Talisman is the place to lose yourself. I've tried most things on the menu, from the exotic ostrich to the comfortable familiarity of fish and chips and I'm yet to be disappointed. But you haven't really lived until you've had the feta cheese samosas. The staff are friendly and even the bathrooms are nice! Hands down my favourite restaurant.
